THE PARADOR FOODS STORY
Founded in 1990, 30 years already!
Building partnerships
Parador Foods dates back to 1990 in Montréal, when Elie T. Dakkak put his food industry expertise to work
creating a line of high-quality liquid bouillon concentrates for distribution under the Parador brand.
The business grew steadily; so much so that in 2000, Parador purchased a 10,000-sq. ft. commercial building in Blainville’s industrial zone. The acquisition meant that Parador could now manufacture its own products, a task they had previously contracted out. This step marked a turning point in the company’s history—Parador could now develop a niche, creating house brands for supermarket chains alongside its own products.
In 2004, Parador Foods implements the HACCP system for food safety and quality. This is an important seal of quality among retailers and distributors.

A growing reputation
In 2007, Parador doubled their facility size to 20,000 sq. ft. by purchasing adjacent commercial space. Using cutting-edge equipment, the company increased its production capacity and developed new products: sauces and marinades, salad dressings, liquid seasoning blends, syrups and concentrates.
The excellence of Parador Foods products was confirmed once again in 2011, when it obtained the stringent Safe Quality Foods (SQF) 2000 Level II certification. The company continued to grow along with its reputation.
In 2017, Jean Lalonde joined the team as General Manager, bringing more than 35 years’ experience in food manufacturing to the table.
